“Maddison Durr helped care for our parents in their final year of life. She took care of my mom with the utmost compassion and genuine kindness, always going the extra mile. For example, when I first asked Maddison to be the shower nurse, instead of just quickly and perfunctorily showering my mom, Maddison would do full body checks (for bed sores etc), style my mom’s hair and paint her nails. Shower time, which my mom used to hate, became a very special treat for her to feel pampered and special. Likewise, with my dad, who had dementia, brushing his teeth and general grooming became a fun time with a lot of laughter when Maddison was on shift.

She truly had a magical way with them. Maddison was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. When my mom, near the end of her life, had delirium, Maddison’s reassuring answers would help calm and reassure her. I count myself extremely fortunate to have had the privilege of employing Maddison. She will always have a special place in my heart.”
